Our story

Built by a founder, for founders

Perqly started with a simple question: “What credits am I missing?” The answer turned into a platform that helps thousands of startups stop leaving money on the table.

I built Perqly because I was tired of spending more time hunting for credits than actually building my product.

Solo founder. Building for founders everywhere.

The spark

It started with $10,000 in AWS credits. My startup had been accepted into a program I'd stumbled onto almost by accident. Ten thousand dollars — just like that. It made me wonder: what else is out there that I'm not seeing?

So I started digging. I spent weeks — actual weeks — going through every tool we used, checking if they had a startup program. Some did. Some took hours to find, buried deep in marketing pages or hidden behind “contact sales” forms. Others I only discovered through a random tweet or a passing mention in a Slack group.

The more I searched, the more I found. And the more I found, the more frustrated I got — not at the programs themselves, but at how impossibly scattered they were. Every founder I talked to had the same story: “I had no idea that existed.”

The problem

Startup credits aren't new. Cloud providers, dev tools, SaaS platforms — hundreds of companies offer programs for early-stage startups. The value is real: millions of dollars in free credits, discounts, and extended trials.

But here's the catch: every program lives on a different website. Each has its own eligibility criteria, its own application process, its own deadlines. There's no central directory. No single source of truth.

If you're at a top-tier accelerator, none of this is a problem.

YC and Techstars hand you a curated list of partner perks on day one. But the vast majority of founders — bootstrappers, indie developers, first-time builders — don't have that network. They're on their own. And they're quietly leaving thousands of dollars on the table.

That felt fundamentally wrong to me. Access to savings shouldn't depend on who you know or which accelerator you got into.

Building Perqly

I could have made a spreadsheet. A lot of people do — a Google Sheet with 50 links and a “last updated: ???” note at the top. But spreadsheets go stale. Links break. Programs change their terms.

I wanted something that actually worked. A real product that you could search, filter, and trust. Where every perk is verified, categorized, and kept up to date. Where you type “cloud” and immediately see every cloud credit available to your startup.

So that's what I built. Alone, one feature at a time. No venture funding. No team of ten. Just a founder who got frustrated enough to fix the problem himself.

Perqly is the tool I wished existed when I was searching. One search. Every perk. Done.

What we believe

Every founder deserves the same advantages

Whether you raised $10M or you're bootstrapping from your apartment — you shouldn't miss out on credits just because you don't have the right connections.

Time is your scarcest resource

You should be building your product, talking to customers, shipping features. Not spending weeks digging through provider websites hunting for programs that may or may not exist.

Transparency over hype

Every perk on Perqly is verified. We show you exactly what you get, what the requirements are, and how to claim it. No inflated numbers, no hidden catches.
